The objective of this contract was the monitoring of relevant environmental aspects, aiming at ensuring the highest levels of environmental quality of the area.
The environmental monitoring and management involved the assessment of noise levels, measurement of air quality, verification of the operation of the meteorological station including data collection and treatment, follow-up of the surface water quality evolution, monitoring of the pluvial and storm waters network, operation and maintenance of the Beirolas Landfill equipment and the follow-up of changes in the sediments and surface waters in the Tagus and Trancão rivers.

Alto Lindoso, Touvedo, Caldeirão and Trinta Weir Hydropower Developments | Portugal
This study focused on the Monitoring Programme for the Assessment of the Efficiency of the Ecologic Flow Regime of these undertakings.
The monitoring programme included annual samples of the biological elements, in three monitoring stations downstream to each dam and quarterly samples of the physicochemical elements.
The works followed the protocol for the monitoring, under the Water Framework Directive from INAG (Instituto Nacional da Água [Portuguese Water Institute]), and included the allocation of a large and specialised technical team, using the latest methods and technologies in these fields, such as electrofishing.

The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Study (ESIA) of the Urban Requalification of the “George Dimitrov” Neighbourhood, in the Municipal District of KaMubukwana, has the purpose of complying with the environmental impact assessment legislation in force.
The environmental studies undertaken aimed at a sustainable and integrated requalification of the “George Dimitrov” Neighbourhood, based on an appropriate methodology, which would allow the optimization and balance of the envisaged interventions, from an environmental and social point of view, as well as the compliance with the requirements and globally accepted criteria in these matters.
