Ribeiradio Dam | Portugal
The first studies of the Ribeiradio stage date back to 1975. The Ribeiradio dam incorporates the Ribeiradio-Ermida system. In 2007, EDP/MARTIFER Joint-Venture hired COBA for the preparation of studies, designs and environmental impact studies of the development.
The Ribeiradio is concrete gravity dam, with a height of 83 metres and crest length of 265 metres.

Cachi Dam | Costa Rica
The Cachi dam is located on the Reventazón River, near the city of Cachi, in the Province of Cartago, in Costa Rica. It is used for power generation and to control the Reventazón River flows.
It is a double curvature arch dam with a small thickness, with a height of 80m and crest length of 150m.
The Cachi dam reservoir has a storage capacity of 53x106 m³ and its maximum flood flow around 6 772 m³/s.
It is also composed of a flood spillway in ski jump which releases a flow of 4 950 m³/s, in a channel controlled by two gates and a bottom outlet which releases 1 000 m³/s.

Keddara Dam | Algeria
The Keddara dam is located in the Boumerdes Wilaya, 8 km south of Boudouaou and 35 km east of Algiers. It is used to supply the population of the region with water, and it has allowed increasing available supply capacity by some 150 hm³/year.
The embankment dam has a height of 106 m and crest length of 468 m. The reservoir has a capacity of 145,6 x 106 m³ and maximum flood flow of around 735 m³/s.
The labyrinth flood spillway releases 280 m³/s and the bottom spillway 60 m³/s.

Iraí Dam | Brazil
Located in the Curitiba Region, the Iraí dam envisages the reinforcement of the water supply to the Curitiba metropolitan area and the downstream flood control.
It is an embankment dam with a height of 19 m and crest length of 1220 m. It has a storage capacity of 58x106 m³ and maximum flood flow of around 1005 m³.
The valley is located in the plain with surface water tables and difficult geotechnical conditions which have constrained both the definition of the typical profile and the works phasing.
