Graduate in Civil Engineering in 1988 and M.Sc. in Hydraulics and Water Resources in 1994 from the IST – Instituto Superior Técnico (Technical University of Lisbon). He has been, since 2010, Senior member of the “Ordem dos Engenheiros” (College of Engineers).

In 2017, Mr Pereira da Silva completed the Advanced Management in Energy Program (AMEG I) from the AESE Business School, Lisbon.

Key Qualifications

Part of the permanent technical staff of the COBA Group since 1989, Mr. Pereira da Silva has carried out technical and consultancy activities in the fields of Hydraulics and Water Resources, with particular emphasis to hydropower projects, in Portugal and in several countries in Africa and South America.

Deputy Director of the Water Resources Department between 2000 and 2004 and Director of the Water Resources and Equipment Department from 2005 to 2018.

Chief Operations Officer of COBA S.A. since 2015.

In 2018, Mr. Pereira da Silva was appointed member of the Executive Board of Directors of COBA Holdings, in charge of the field of Operations, and member of the Executive Board of Directors of COBA. S.A., in charge of the Water and Energy fields.
