Permanent employee of the COBA Group since 1990, José Honrado has developed his technical activity in the field of planning and management of multi-sectoral water resources and in the preparation and coordination of studies and designs for agriculture and hydropower undertakings and water supply schemes in Portugal and several African and South American countries.

Head of the International Hydraulics Division of the Natural Resources and Equipment Department (now Water and Energy Department), between 2009 and 2012.

Deputy-Director of the Natural Resources and Equipment Department (now Water and Energy Department), between 2012 and 2015.

Head of the International Direction between 2015 and 2012, with the main responsibilities of assisting in the definition and implementation of the COBA Group’s general internationalization strategy, leading the business development team in Southern & Eastern Africa, West & Central Africa, Maghreb, Asia & the Middle East and Latin America.

In 2021 he was appointed Director of the Group's New Business Area, directly assisting the Board of Directors in developing and defining the strategy for developing new areas of activity in accordance with the Group's Strategic Plan, including energy transition (renewable energies, green hydrogen and renewable gases, synthetic fuels, etc.), Oil&Gas and agribusiness.
