Mr. José Pedro Soeiro holds an M.Sc. Degree in Economics and Finance from the “Nova School of Business & Economics (NOVA SBE)”, Lisbon. He has completed the Global CEO Program, run jointly by the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, IESE Business School Barcelona and China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Shanghai.

Experiência Profissional

Over 25 years of experience as a senior executive and investor in emerging markets. He has built most of his career with Deloitte, where he became a Managing partner specialized in the financial sector. His main mission was to set up or perform structural business transformation in financial institutions, in particular in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

He left Deloitte in 2006 to become the founder and CEO of a major Holding Group with investments in Africa and Europe, which ranged from infrastructure, urban development, real estate, and waste management to energy and engineering. He held this position until 2014. Along these years, he developed a strong and successful entrepreneurial career whilst gradually shifting to more senior advisory roles, with a particular focus on strategic monitoring and special advice to executive teams.

Since 2015 is a non-executive member in the Board of Directors of COBA Holdings S.A. To date, Mr. Jose Pedro retains a number of non-executive board memberships in several large corporations, alongside a portfolio of active investments in media sector, real estate developments, industry and asset management.

José Pedro combines a wealth of experience in macro-economics, strategic and advisory services with years of hands on entrepreneurial and managerial expertise, in a wide array of sectors, and at different points in the economic cycle. As such, one of his main strengths lies in his ability to quickly understand business key points, identify and anticipate risk, and swiftly design proactive and practical solutions.
