Short Description
In 2004, CONSULSTRADA, subsidiary company of the COBA Group, carried out the Trakia Motorway Characterisation Study, motorway which connects Sofia to Plovdiv, in Bulgaria. This characterisation aimed at its structural and functional assessment, as well as its rehabilitation and subsequent concession.
The following studies and tasks were carried out in this project: load-bearing capacity, International Roughness Index and a visual inspection, including the Endoscopic observation of the pavement’s constituent layers.
To this end, the following equipment was used: Falling Weight Deflectometer - PRI van Integrated, laser profilometer and the endoscope.

SAGLEMI HOUSING PROJECT – GHANA

Short Description
CONSULSTRADA carried out a study for the determination of the causes of the early cracking and changes underwent in the pavement structure of the Saglemi Housing Project streets, located near Aflo Road, at approximately 60 km from the centre of Accra, in Ghana.
This characterisation was based on the Visual Inspection and Structural Assessment of the pavements.
In this regard, load-bearing capacity essays were carried out, as well as a visual inspection, so as to establish a diagnosis of the causes of these pathologies.
The equipment used in this study was the Falling Weight Deflectometer
